This Washington, D.C. residential project transformed a single-family home to better serve the needs of a growing family. Key features included the creation of a spacious master bedroom suite, complete with a private balcony that extends the living space outdoors. The newly designed living room provides a functional and inviting area for family gatherings, while a new nursery accommodates the family’s newest addition. Careful attention was given to relocating and reusing existing windows and skylights, ensuring a cohesive design that maximizes natural light. Challenges, such as aligning skylights and maintaining visual harmony, were thoughtfully resolved, resulting in a beautifully renovated home that reflects both functionality and comfort.
